EBC 580E 5.25"嵌入式主板基于VIA新一代嵌入式CPU，Eden™ (低功耗), C7 (高性能) 和新VIA Nano 处理器。The EBC 580E 结合了1个VIA CN700 和8327R+ 芯片组。VIA CN700支持非缓存non-ECC DDR2 533/400内存，高达1GB，并集成**的图形引擎。
南桥8327 R+芯片支持1个标准的32-bit/33 MHz PCI 插槽， 并口, 44-pin IDE 控制器, SATA , 闪存卡插槽, 以及其他 I/O端口，包括4个串口, 4个USB 2.0, 2个 Gigabit Ethernet LAN端口, 1个音频接口等。
EBC 580E符合 RoHS 标准，是 EBC 580的增强版, 尺寸相同， 但增加更多功能，例如支持DDR2内存, 支持USB 2.0和SATA, 并集成双Gigabit Ethernet，支持AT & ATX电源模式。另外, EBC 580E 支持18-bit 到48-bit LVDS面板，帮助用户大大降低成本。
